Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern access to NOUNUniversity, including its public website, Student Workspace, student services, digital resources, tools, Community features and support channels.
1. Independent platform
NOUNUniversity is an independent student-support platform. It is not owned, operated, endorsed by or an official channel of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). Official university decisions, deadlines, fees and records should be verified through NOUN’s official channels.
2. Accounts and access
You are responsible for information submitted through your NOUNUniversity account and for keeping your NOUNUniversity login secure. Do not share your NOUNUniversity password with another person. Where a particular paid service genuinely requires temporary access information for fulfilment, provide it only through the protected Student Workspace flow created for that service and never through ordinary contact forms, public comments or Community posts.
3. Student services
Service descriptions, current prices, requirements and delivery expectations are shown before payment or confirmation. Some services depend on information or systems controlled by NOUN or another third party. A stated delivery estimate is therefore an estimate rather than a guarantee where access, questions, official records or external systems are unavailable.
4. Academic responsibility
NOUNUniversity provides student support, preparation, research assistance, study resources, document services and other academic-support services. You remain responsible for complying with your programme, course and university rules and for understanding any material you submit or use. NOUNUniversity does not guarantee marks, grades, admission, graduation, project approval or any other academic outcome.
5. Prices and payment
Prices displayed on the active service flow are the authoritative NOUNUniversity service prices at the time of order. Official NOUN fees and other third-party charges are separate where stated. Payments may be processed by external payment providers; their processing and banking systems may have additional terms.
6. Refunds
Refund eligibility depends on the type of product or service, whether work has started, whether digital content has already been delivered, payment verification and any third-party cost already incurred. See the Refund Policy for details.
7. Digital resources
Unless a resource expressly states otherwise, purchased or downloaded materials are licensed for the purchaser’s personal study use. You may not resell, republish, mass-distribute or commercially exploit NOUNUniversity materials without permission.
8. Community and user content
Community areas must not be used to publish passwords, matric numbers, payment credentials, private support messages, unlawful material, harassment, spam or content that infringes another person’s rights. Moderation controls may restrict, hide or remove content or access when necessary to protect the platform and its users.
9. Acceptable use
You must not attempt to bypass security controls, access another student’s records, interfere with payment verification, automate abusive requests, upload malware, probe private endpoints or use the platform in a way that disrupts other users.
10. Third-party services and links
NOUNUniversity may link to official NOUN systems, payment providers and other third-party websites. Those services are controlled by their respective operators. NOUNUniversity is not responsible for changes, outages or content on a third-party service.
11. Availability and changes
We may update features, prices, workflows, security controls and these Terms as the platform changes. Material changes will apply from the published update date. We may temporarily restrict access when required for maintenance, security, fraud prevention or legal compliance.
12. Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, NOUNUniversity is not liable for indirect losses caused by third-party outages, university decisions, inaccurate information supplied by a user, missed external deadlines or events outside reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Where a dispute cannot be resolved through Student Support, the parties may use the dispute-resolution options available under applicable Nigerian law.
